Managing Director Niamh Kenny began her career in economic and regional development, becoming CEO of Blackwater Resource Development at the age of 26. She subsequently established Exodea Consulting in 2004, developing a consultancy practice around research, innovation and renewable energy before moving increasingly into large-scale renewable energy development.
Her experience spans European and national programmes including LEADER, EQUAL and INTERREG; collaborative renewable energy innovation programmes; marine energy demonstration; enterprise development; commercialisation; project development and international partnerships.
She subsequently moved into large-scale renewable energy development, with experience spanning project acquisition, joint ventures, commercial negotiation, development, investment and operation. At DP Energy she led the team responsible for assembling a circa 3 GW offshore wind development portfolio in the Republic of Ireland.
She is also a Board Member of Northern Ireland Maritime & Offshore (NIMO), and has worked as a Horizon 2020 evaluator, providing an understanding of major European innovation programmes from both sides of the assessment process.
Niamh Kenny is a Board Member of NIMO (Northern Ireland Maritime & Offshore), the industry body representing and supporting the maritime and offshore sectors in Northern Ireland. Through this role, she has direct engagement with companies operating across offshore wind, marine engineering, ports, supply chains and related services, further strengthening NMK’s industry network and market insight across the island of Ireland.
